Who we are
This website belongs to NISC, the Nepalgunj IT Students Community, a student technology community in Nepalgunj, Nepal.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us through our forms:
- Event registration: name, email, WhatsApp number, phone number, college, course, level, your reasons for joining and your expectations, and optionally LinkedIn or GitHub links.
- Joining NISC: name, email, WhatsApp number, college, course, level, interests and how you’d like to take part, and optional profile links.
- Contact form: name, email, topic, message and optionally a WhatsApp number.
Why we collect it
- To organise events and keep participants informed.
- To welcome new members and share community announcements.
- To reply to your messages.
- To understand, in general terms, who our activities reach, so we can improve them.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Where it’s stored
This website is a static site: it has no accounts, no logins and no database of its own. Online forms are switched on only when NISC connects them to a form service. Until then, each form says clearly that nothing is sent.
When a form is connected, the information you send goes only to the NISC team through that service, and this page will name the service.
Who can see it
Only NISC team members who need it for the purpose above, for example the Operations / Events Lead for registrations, or the Admins for join requests.
If you give us your WhatsApp number, we may add you to an event or community group, or message you about the activity you registered for. You can leave a group at any time.
Photos at events
Photos may be taken at NISC events and published in the gallery and event archive. Tell the organisers if you’d prefer not to appear, or contact us to have a photo removed.
How long we keep it
We keep event registrations for up to 12 months after the event, and contact messages for up to 12 months, then delete them. Join requests are kept while you are a member; if you leave NISC or ask us to, we delete them.
Your browser
This website remembers your light or dark theme choice in your own browser’s local storage. It sets no cookies and uses no tracking or advertising.
Students under 18
Many +2 students are under 18. If that includes you, please check with a parent or guardian before sharing personal information with us.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information you’ve shared with NISC at any time.
