Why NISC exists

Learning technology is easier, faster and more enjoyable with other people. NISC exists so that students in Nepalgunj don’t have to figure it out alone.

What students often run into

Many students who are curious about technology hit the same walls. A community can help with each one.

The challenge

Learning alone

Online resources are endless, but without guidance it’s hard to know where to start or what to learn next.

What NISC does

Guided learning

Learning sessions, workshops and a curated Learning Hub with starter paths.

The challenge

Few chances to practise with others

Real skills come from building and collaborating, and that needs teammates.

What NISC does

Project teams

Members build together and share their work in the Projects showcase.

The challenge

Opportunities are hard to find

Internships, hackathons and scholarships are scattered, and students often hear about them too late.

What NISC does

One verified hub

The Opportunities hub lists only what the team has checked, with clear deadlines.

The challenge

Confidence

Capable students often hold back from asking questions or sharing work because they feel they’re “not good enough yet”.

What NISC does

A welcoming space

Beginners are welcome, questions are encouraged, and everyone is invited to contribute.

Why the founders started NISC

NISC was started in November 2023 by Sushant Budha and Bharat Rawal so that students in Nepalgunj who are curious about technology would have a community to learn with, instead of figuring everything out alone. Everything NISC does, from sessions to projects to this website, comes back to that idea.
